The yellow warning for the wind in the mountainous regions of the island of Madeira, issued at dawn by the Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA), came into force at 9 am and is valid until 3 pm.
The weather warning is due to the forecast of strong southwest wind with gusts up to 95 km/h.
