The images by Joana Sousa and Luís Fernandes reveal the beauty of Madeira’s fireworks show to welcome 2023.
Over the course of eight minutes, the fireworks display was watched by thousands of people who chose downtown Funchal to ring in the new year and by thousands more who watched it at home or in strategic places overlooking the bay.
