The residents of Prazeres are screaming as flames reach their homes, resulting from the huge fire that broke out in Calheta since yesterday.
The population also tries to save domestic animals by placing cats in carriers, preventing them from traveling through dangerous areas.
As the flames approach, people are pushing cars that had been left parked, where the fire is approaching.
There are currently 92 operational personnel on the ground.
