22 tons of goods collected by 8pm in the Food Bank campaign

By 8pm this Sunday, 22 tonnes of goods had been collected in the Food Bank Against Hunger campaign, which took place this weekend in supermarkets in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM). A number put forward a moment ago by the president of the Food Bank Against Hunger in Madeira, Fátima Aveiro.

The count is not over yet, and this is a number that will certainly rise in the coming hours.

Compared to last year, at this time the number of food products collected in RAM supermarkets was higher.

Even so, the president of the Food Bank Against Hunger in Madeira highlighted the fact that Madeirans are very supportive at this time of year.

“There are many people participating in the campaign and each one contributes as much as they can. Taking into account the difficult times we are going through, 22 tonnes is a good result”, highlighted Fátima Aveiro.
