From bread to telecommunications, 2024 will be another year of increases, not forgetting the end of Zero Vat in January, even the mandatory car inspections haven’t managed to escape.
Therefore, from January 1st, prepare for a more expensive trip to the Madeira Inspection Center.
It is worth remembering that at the turn of the year that now ends, the tariffs for technical inspection of motor vehicles in force in the Region were updated, in accordance with the inflation rate which on December 14, 2022 stood at 6.67% . What is certain is that, despite the drop in inflation to 5.33%, after a year, in 2024, the cost of this activity will increase again, following the growing trend seen at national level.
Now, according to the new table, made public on December 28th, for a light vehicle (as well as trailers and semi-trailers) to be inspected, Madeirans will have to pay 29.10 euros, which, adding VAT, amounts to final price at 35.50 euros, 1.79 euros more than in 2023 (€33.71).
