A man’s corpse was found in a fajã in Cabo Girão, in Câmara de Lobos, on a beach near Vereda do Boqueirão.
The body was discovered by a member of the public, who warned of authorities immediately.
The Judiciary Police and divers from the Maritime Police Local Command, as the body must be removed by sea.
If this is not possible, the corpse, which is in an area of difficult access, it will be recovered by the mountain rescue team of the Câmara de Lobos Volunteer Firefighters.
The Commander of the Madeira Maritime Zone is coordinate the operation.
