Cristiano Ronaldo is already in Madeira, where he arrived early in the morning, to celebrate his mother’s birthday and New Year’s Eve in Funchal. The private jet with the world’s top scorer this year (54 goals) landed at Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo at 5:44, after just over 8 hours of direct flight from Saudi Arabia.
Despite the early hour, some fans were at the airport hoping to be able to see (very) up close and salute the footballer who was once considered the best in the world, but in vain, as CR7 and the entourage that accompanied him, left the airport from the plane, aboard a van, thus ‘dodging’ all those who were waiting for him at the exit of Gare das Arrivals/Sala Vip. They will have gone directly to the Savoy Palace hotel. Only the luggage – several Gucci suitcases and bags –, which filled a van made available for that purpose, left through Gare das Chegadas.
A year after the transfer of the Madeiran star to the Saudis of Al Nassr was made official, CR7 is returning to the Region, to celebrate the 69th birthday of his mother, Dolores Aveiro, and to culminate this December 31st, celebrating the New Year’s Eve in Funchal.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who had a Saudi League game this Saturday night, traveled directly to Madeira during the night accompanied by Georgina Rodríguez and her eldest son, Cristiano Jr., so it was possible to get a glimpse through the lens of photojournalist Hélder Santos.
