The modern Grimaldi Lines ship was involved in an unusual accident in the Port of Gilbatrar, after bad weather broke the cables and sent the ship adrift.
This year in July ‘Great Senegal’ ran aground in the Gulf of Yucatan.
Sailing from Tampa, in the United States of America, the ship does not have its own propulsion capacity, which is why it is towed by the ‘Kamarina’.

The journey began on October 30th and the final destination of this tow is Yalova, Turkey, where the ship will be dismantled for scrap.
The presence of the ships in our Region is due to a supply operation for the tug ‘Kamarina’, which will be supplied with tons of fuel in the port of Caniçal during the day tomorrow.
It should be noted that the Kamarina was built in 2010 in Italy and is 50 meters long and fifteen meters wide.
