Port of Funchal will receive the most efficient cruise ship in the world in terms of energy emissions

The port of Funchal will receive tomorrow, for the first time, the MSC Euribia, which presents itself as the most efficient cruise ship ever in terms of energy emissions.

Coming from Casablanca, in Morocco, MSC Euribia stops in Funchal, this Thursday, before heading to Tenerife, in the Canary Islands.

The ship is scheduled to arrive at 7 am and will remain in the port of Funchal until 5 pm.

Tomorrow Thursday we will have the long-awaited inaugural stopover of the beautiful and new ship MSC EURIBIA here in the Port of Funchal.
We will go on board and promise you many photos and videos from inside.

The MSC Euribia, you know, is the most energy-efficient cruise ship of all time.

It’s the second MSC Cruzeiros ship to be LNG-powered, the cleanest marine fuel currently available at scale, introducing a range of cutting-edge technologies and environmental solutions that minimize atmospheric and marine environment impact, including advanced wastewater treatment and management systems of waste. It was also designed with the future in mind, allowing it to easily incorporate future sustainability innovations such as carbon-neutral synthetic fuels and other alternative fuels, once they become available at scale.

During its maiden voyage, the MSC Euribia completed a zero-emission voyage from Saint-Nazaire to Copenhagen, benefiting from emissions reductions allowed by bio-LNG.
