A man of foreign nationality suffered a fall earlier today while walking along the Levada between Ribeiro Frio and Portela.
The tourist has a suspected broken leg and is being helped by six members of the Machico Municipal Fire Department who will transport him to the Lamaceiros area, in Santo da Serra.
The Rapid Intervention Medical Team will also go to the scene.
The accident occurred about 1 hour from the main road.
