The most energy efficient ship in the world debuted this morning in Funchal

The MSC Euribia, a cruise ship managed by JMF Shipping, has already docked at the Funchal pier for the first time, considered to be the most efficient vessel of this level ever in terms of energy emissions. The MSC Euribia arrives at Pontinha at 07:00, coming from Casablanca, heading towards Tenerife at 17:00.

Opened in June 2023, in Denmark, Euribia was “built for the future”, as the flag waved by MSC Cruises, is the second in the fleet to be powered by LNG (liquefied natural gas), the cleanest and most efficient fuel available today .

The vessel also features other state-of-the-art environmental technologies such as advanced onboard wastewater treatment systems, waste management, energy efficiency measures and innovative underwater radiated noise management systems to reduce the impact on the marine environment.
