Stabbing ends with one arrest and one injured in Funchal

A moment ago, a confrontation between two individuals, on Rua do Ribeirinho de Baixo, in Funchal, culminated in a stabbing, which resulted in an arrest and an injured person.

According to witnesses at the scene, the argument began inside a bar, next to the Anadia shopping center and, although the reason for the fight is unknown, it is known that the detained man allegedly attacked him with a knife.

The victim, who was stabbed in one of his legs, was promptly rescued by the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters, who, after initial assistance inside the bar, transported him to the Emergency Department of the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.

As events unfolded, the Public Security Police also arrived at the scene, quickly managing to intervene and detain the attacker.

As this is one of the busiest areas during the day in the capital of Madeira, the impact of the event did not go unnoticed and generated a large crowd, with several passers-by stopping to watch the police action.
