Individual was reportedly abandoned by a taxi driver.
A man believed to be 37 years old, a doctor by profession, was found dead early this morning on Caminho do Pilar, in Funchal.
According to DIÁRIO, the man was able to find out that he was left at the scene by a taxi driver, who is currently giving a statement to the PSP command.
According to a source, a taxi was seen stopping at the Caminho do Pilar roundabout, where the body of the man was left, who apparently died from a sudden illness. As far as we know, the driver believed that the individual was drunk.
If the theory of abandonment is confirmed, the taxi driver commits the crime of failing to assist the victim.
The body of the ill-fated doctor is sent to the medical-legal office where it will be autopsied to determine the cause of death.
