Sea trips between Madeira and Porto Santo canceled due to bad weather

The concessionaire recalls that several warnings were issued by the authorities, a “situation that would jeopardise the safety” of passengers and the ship.

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) placed the north coast of Madeira and Porto Santo with an orange warning (the second most serious on a scale of four) between 2:31 pm today and 3:00 am on Saturday due to strong sea agitation, with waves that can reach 12 meters.

Movement at Madeira Airport, which has been limited over the last two days, was proceeding normally at 4:30 pm.
