More than 9,500 people arrived in Funchal on board two ships

The ships ‘AIDAcosma’ and ‘Marella Explorer’ returned, this morning, to the Port of Funchal, for the last call of the high season. On board, they brought a total of 9,665 people to the Region.

The ‘AIDAcosma’ arrived from Las Palmas, with 5,736 passengers and 1,427 crew, remaining in Madeira for 22 hours. With scheduled departure at 11 pm, it heads to Tenerife, for the last stop of this 7-night cruise that began in this same port, on the 17th of April and ends on the 24th. The trip also included visits to Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Gran- Canary. The ship returns to the CAI line in November.

In turn, the ‘Marella Explorer’ came from Las Palmas, with 1,707 passengers and 795 crew. It stays in Madeira for 11 hours and leaves at 6 pm for Gibraltar, the next stop on the 14-night cruise, which began on April 19, in Tenerife, with stops in Gran-Canaria, now Funchal, Gibraltar, Motril, Palma de Mallorca, Sardinia, Malta and Corfu. She returns to the CAI itinerary in December.
