Thousands of motorcyclists take to the streets today

Madeira Motorcycling Association marks International Motorcyclist Day.

The roads of Madeira will be full of motorcycles this Sunday, April 7th, International Motorcyclist Day.

The Madeira Motorcycling Association promotes, as usual, an event commemorating the date, with a tour from the city of Funchal to Machico, where there will be musical performances by ‘De Passagem’, ‘KROD’ and DJ João Canada, the traditional ‘Bike Wash’ and the Bênção das Motas with Canon Manuel Ramos, parish priest of Machico.

The 17th motorbike caravan is scheduled to depart from Avenida Sá Carneiro at 10:30 am and arrive in the center of Machico at 11:30 am. The organization expects the participation of thousands of people, similar to the previous year, in which around 7 thousand people and more than 5 thousand motorcycles attended.

The event has the support and collaboration of the Municipal Council of Machico, the Municipal Council of Funchal, the Regional Government, through the Regional Secretariat of Agriculture and Environment, the Regional Directorate of Roads, the Regional Directorate of Sports, the Regional Directorate of Land Transport, the Public Security Police, the Port Authority of Funchal, the Port Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira and the Municipal Fire Department of Machico.
