My advice around where take your babies in your backs and under age children in a hike between 16 or 18 at 20 don’t forget take the pram the pushchair and go under the tunnels this way they can bang their heads in narrow twisted tunnels or even fall down in the levada . To the other lot take the flip flops and trainers and high heels with you great terrain to use this type of shoes and add in the mixture the dogs without lead ruining over the place in the narrow cliffs and passages will be a great accident experience to everyone . And the others that go with their bicycles in this narrow passages go fast you can without using the bell this way you can crash the hikers out of the cliff ,

    1. Thank you Isabel. You forgot to mention to take plenty of toilet tissue so that they can leave the soiled tissue along the trails. And oh yes please remind them to throw their rubbish along the paths and make sure that when they park their cars that at least one car will not be able to get out. And I almost forgot to tell them to make sure you take plenty of death defying selfies, so that they can impress their friends and followers with how cool they are. And a big thank you to all of the northern Europeans for your presence on our island. You are all wonderful, wise and considerate. (Actually most of them are it’s just the few that ruin it for others.)

    Many thanks to add the missing rest very grateful should be the Tourism slogan from Madeira Governmment and the Forest Department . I live in Sintra and I m very grateful that the president only thinks about the monuments and the countryside complete forgotten and the trails are free from all that very peaceful .

  3. Nice Video, but I would recommend not to promote such videos anymore. This is exactly the sort of tourism you don’t want (and need) to have on Madeira. They were hiking with a tent, camping at Fanal (where are no toilets, and as far as I remember, camping is forbidden)…..!
    This is exactly the material which will attract even more tourists not respecting the nature of the Island, dangers and bans.
    We were on Madeira last November and a bit shocked. We thought November being NOT high season, there would be fewer people, but for us it felt like high season already and like the island being on its limits. But to be fair, it’s not only the failure of social medias. Your government is promoting tourism on the island very much. That’s fine! But tourism needs infrastructure like sufficient parking space, toilets in hiking areas and rangers who inform and control about the needs of nature. I didn’t find any of this.
    Yeah … and then there are still the tourists who won’t respect anything. Sadly, getting more and more.
