The JPP held a press conference today to announce that the Court ruled in favor of the party.
Élvio Sousa indicated that Cristina Pedra was “condemned by the Court to provide the list of individuals who accompanied Calado on the trip to England”-
“The Administrative and Fiscal Court of Funchal (TAFF) recently condemned Cristina Pedra to show the expenses that Pedro Calado made on his luxurious trips to the United Kingdom, with the money of the people of Funchal. And the most ridiculous thing is that Cristina Pedra and the Chamber’s lawyer, who has already earned another 246 thousand euros in two installments, tried at all costs to prevent us from having access to these “papers”, but they were unable to do so! Cristina Pedra has until the day before April 25th, the 24th, to comply with the court decision.”
“At issue are evidence of the expenses that Pedro Calado made on the trip to England in June 2023, the list of individuals who accompanied the trip, the invoices and proof of payment relating to accommodation, food and vehicle rental, boarding passes, all expenses paid from the city budget. Data that the PSD/CDS chamber tried to hide at all costs. This shows that both the PSD and the CDS in that municipality are cut from the same cloth, and are deliberately trying to hide some protected individuals who traveled at the expense of the municipality”, added Élvio Sousa.
Pedro Calado has totally disappeared since the corruption scandle, and 3 weeks in prison in Portugal, waiting to be heard by judges.
