The TV program A Place in the Sun, on today channel 4 at 4pm is in Madeira.

I am not sure if this is new or a repeat, but will be on in 90 minutes.

  3. I think it is a new one according to the paper, but wouldn’t be at all surprised if it is a repeat – most programmes seem to be nowadays!

  8. I agree, did not see enough of Madeira and properties out of most peoples’ price range.

  9. Very nasty accident outside Promenade Hotel this morning. Witness told us that the lady from Scotland was knocked down on the zebra crossing and went over the bonnet of the car. This is a very dangerous crossing and we are always careful when using it as the traffic drives too fast on this bend. Still waiting for an ambulance when we left but I do hope she is ok.

  10. I think each and every zebra crossing in Madeira is dangerous. The traffic just rarely seems to stop to let pedestrians across. You can stand at the edge of the crossing for some time before someone will actually have the courtesy to stop. Hope the lady is ok – sounds very nasty.
