PSP ENSURES THAT NO ONE ENTERS OR LEAVES CÂMARA DE LOBOS

Security forces are already ensuring that no one enters or leaves the parish of Câmara de Lobos.

The implementation of a security barrier in the parish was decided yesterday by the President of the Government, after the emergence of 10 cases of infection by Covid-19.

For 14 days the parish of Câmara de Lobos will be isolated, affecting approximately 18,000 people.

    1. Pointing the fingers each others is not the way forward. If they had a neglectful behaviour by law then they should face consequences in court. But it is not the time to urge blaming on each others, finding innocents and guilty. These people have been infected by someone else too. For social stability we need to solve the health issue not to compensate with with some sort of social and people’s justice. This never works and never ends well.

  2. All because a couple of people insisted on paying visits to others while we are in the middle of a lockdown. It’s been known for a month that you’re not supposed to leave your house to visit family. There is no excuse. It’s not like we don’t have phones, computers, the internet and the ability to stay in touch without physical contact. While some of us even limit our exercise outside, some are so attached to their social calendar, they’ll risk shutting down a whole town.

  4. Antonio Lamas, it’s not about pointing the finger, it’s about what’s right and what’s wrong. These two people were supposed to be in two further weeks of quarantine in their house, NOT walking around infecting other people. Of course they didn’t do it on purpose, but they did it, end of discussion. Now it’s inevitable that people are angry and blaming them.

    1. That is what I said above. I was not trying to find excuses for their behaviour. But urging that feeling in the people, that all that is happening is because of those brothers and their family, that might give rise to some unpleasant issues in their neighbourhood which will not help the situation.

      1. Prime example is USA president Trump. In the middle of a crisis the fool decides to focus on China and WHO instead of focusing in sorting is country out of it.

        The time to find who to blame and prosecute will come, but first we need to focus on containing it and finding a vaccine

  5. Given what we have seen about the length of time people take to display the symptoms of covid-19, surely 14 days is not long enough. 28 days would be preferable.

  6. I think Robin just likes being angry about something. He was angry about being prevented from entering Continente in Ribeira Brava with his partner a couple days ago….didn’t explain why though..

  7. Ruby, I’m not angry. Regarding Continente, I was with my wife and if you read the feed I was simply sharing the same experience that somebody else had, so no need to explain why. On the subject of this post, I feel sorry for those in Câmara de Lobos as they are stuck due to other peoples’ mistakes.

  9. We all in this world wide pandemic and yet another liberal blaming Trump for it!
