There are 43 new cases of infection in Madeira, all of which are locally transmitted and most of them are already associated with positive case contacts.
According to the epidemiological bulletin issued by the Regional Health Directorate, this Sunday there are 47 more recovered cases to report, so the Region currently accounts for 694 active cases, of which 15 are imported cases and 679 are of local transmission.
Regarding the isolation of active cases, it should be noted that 46 people are hospitalized at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça (37 people in Multipurpose Units and 9 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to Covid-19) and 13 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, the rest remaining in their own accommodation.
